This is a study I did for the design of the throne room of Uther.
Contrary to what many think, in the V century the vast majority of British castles were not impenetrable fortresses of stone, not those left by the Romans.
The British castles were made of wood, clay and straw. The floor was earth and the beds made of hay, ferns or straw.
